Brookfield recommends four lenses through which a critical practitioner views and learns from their experience:

1. Teachers should learn from their own experience by critically reflecting on their teaching practice. Introspective. Click here to visit my Reflective Practice page. Also, check out other blog posts in int he Reflective Practice category.

2. Student feedback is a direct source of information that can guide the continuous learner. Click here to visit my Feedback page.

3. Colleagues can provide support, a shoulder, suggestions and ideas - communities of practice, class observations, team teaching, etc.

4. Keeping current on the evolution education theory and practice by consulting journals and other innovative research. Please visit my web site pages for links to stories and ideas that have inspired me.
